Medium. Caution! Keep open end of this hose away from children and pets (and your face) when blower is on, as it could be harmful or fatal. Best practice is to keep a cleaning tool attached to the suction end of Vac Hose before to powering on the vacuum
I clean carpets professionally with a powerful truck-mounted steam extraction system and I've used several different brands of vac hose over the years. This one is by far the best! I tried the cheaper ones, and although they might be fine for a portable extraction cleaner, they make cleaning carpets with a truckmount and hot water a nightmare. They don't have the rigidity to stand up to the abrasion, heat and extraction power of the truckmount machine, and I've had them kink frequently, and even outright collapse under the extraction power of my machine (Roots 5.9 Blower running single wand). These hoses last and last, in fact, I've never had one wear out in 7 years... just scratched and marred from massive use. They are also rigid, so much so that I can stand on them with one foot and it won't collapse (I'm 165 lbs). Yet, they are still easy to coil. The only thing I would definitely suggest (and I guess this goes for any vac hose), is that when you'll be pulling the hose around wall corners, inside or outside the house, you use corner guards to protect the walls, as the ridges are quite sturdy, and will actually "saw" away at drywall and softer wood as they are pulled along.
